Continuing Medical Education - General Information & FAQ Welcome to UIC College of Medicine Continuing Medical Education Welcome to the Continuing Medical Education website of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. We are the largest medical school in the United States and we are located on four campuses: Chicago, Peoria, Rockford, and Urbana. Each year we meet the needs of over 5,000 physicians with high quality, state-of-the-art CME activities in a broad range of disciplines. In general, these educational activities fall into two categories, regularly scheduled conferences (RSCs) and courses. The RSCs occur, usually weekly, throughout the calendar year and encompass a broad range of topics in the particular discipline. The courses are more focused and of shorter duration, lasting from two hours to several days. We also offer interactive online CME activities which can be accessed using the link located on the left side of the page. It is our hope that we can assist you in the process of lifelong learning by enhancing your performance and behavior and by helping you to acquire new knowledge, skills, and attitudes appropriate to the latest practice theories. The standards of the ACCME are employed in the identification, design, implementation, and evaluation of our continuing medical education activities.
